How can I fix PCSX2 Runtime error?

1. Make sure you have the necessary components installed

  • Download and install DirectX.

    You might have to install multiple versions depending on the application requirements. Also, be sure to install both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

    2. Make sure that you don’t have any mounted ISO files

  • Locate the virtual disc drive, right-click it, and choose Eject.

  • Locate the ini file in the PCSX2 directory and open it with Notepad.
  • Add the following line:

  • Save changes.

    • Keep in mind that this solution works only if Windows isn’t installed on the C drive. In our example we used E as the drive letter, so be sure to replace it with the appropriate drive letter on your PC.

    4. Reinstall application and the required components

  • Open the Settings app. You can do that quickly by using Windows Key + I shortcut.
  • Go to the Apps section.
